OnStream (Pty) Ltd is a South African-based digital marketing company that operates the “why.” white-label lead generation platform. We specialise in connecting South African consumers to trusted, licensed insurance providers and brokers across categories such as life, health, funeral, and car insurance. We are not a Financial Services Provider (FSP) and do not offer insurance policies or financial advice. We serve as a facilitator between consumers and licensed FSPs.

We collect and process the following information:

  • Full name
  • Surname
  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • City or Province
  • Employment status
  • South African residency status
  • Gross monthly income bracket
  • Whether your car is currently insured
  • Consent to be contacted for a customised quote
  • Car usage type (private or otherwise)
  • IP address, browser, device information, cookies, and user behaviour

  • Lead forms on our website and Meta lead ads (Facebook/Instagram)

LeadByte follows global best practices in data protection and ensures encryption, secure access, and audit logs.   • Match you with a licensed insurance provider based on your input
  • Enable our partners to contact you with offers and quotations

  • Licensed insurance partners (FSPs) who are authorised to contact you

7. Meta & Third-Party Platform Use

We use Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to run ads and collect lead form submissions.
